Course Objective

The Coloured Stones Grading online course is designed to expand one’s practical knowledge for use in the gem business world. It is a critical bridge between the gemological scientific world and the gem and jewelry trade, designed to significantly shorten the period it generally takes to obtain the practical experience required to be a player in the trade. Gem traders, gem hobbyists, gemology graduates, trade professionals with basic gemological knowledge, career gemologists, appraisers or valuers, and others who are or intend to be part of the gem business, are all suitable for this course. Graduates of the course will understand and be proficient at grading, evaluating and pricing of colored stones.

Using the significant database of real gem online images, as well as an actual gem-like samples kit, students will be able to practice sorting and pricing based on up-to-date prices, at a level that in real life would take years to achieve. It is a highly recommended course for any gemologist with a relation to the gem business, providing you with the needed knowledge and skills.

This course will also acquaint you with some of the most advanced and revolutionary digital color communication online tools for defining, grading and pricing of colored stones, powered by Gemewizard®. As a student of the course, you shall be assigned a class and a teacher, an experienced instructor who will accompany you for the entire duration of the course, answer your queries, check your assignments and tests and monitor your progress. Additionally, you will also have the possibility to communicate with other students of your class to share insights and discuss issues.

In the event that you confirm your booking for any of the courses on a particular date and fail to arrive, an additional 30% of the course fee will be charged and must be paid prior to rebooking for the course.

The full course fee must be paid in order to receive the theoretical module. Should you decide to do the practical module, the fee for the course must be paid before commencement of the practical module.

*A discount for group training of more than 5 students may be negotiated.

Certificate

After passing the theory and practical modules, with a minimum pass of 80% you will receive a certificate of completion.
